 | The edible garden at Sabin School is coming back to life after the winter. For the past month students at Sabin have been starting seeds inside and those starts are now going into the ground. Baby chard, kale, spinach, onion and tomato plants now transplanted into beds and thriving outside. The Sabin edible garden turns into a full scale outdoor classroom during the Sabin SUN School's summer program, which will be held this coming July. Nearly 100 students will use this space daily as a venue for learning more about pollinators, plant life cycles, nutrition and to learn gardening skills. A lot of work is required to get the space ready to go for this learning. We are hopeful you will join us on May 19th for a work party. |
