There are a few changes at Sabin School this year.  The K-5 program has been recognized as an International Baccalaureate school.  A music teacher has been added.  Sabin will no longer be offering pre-K program. And, due to changes in Title 1 status, Sabin will no longer be offering a free full-day kindergarten. All students residing within the Sabin School enrollment boundary will be able to attend half-day kindergarten for free or pay $335 to attend full-day kindergarten. Income-based scholarships, reduced fees, and fee waivers are also available. Stop by the office at 4103 NE 18th Ave for more info and registration forms. Visit www.sabinschool.com to learn more about Sabin school and thanks to all the wonderful community members for their ongoing support!

Sabin Bee-Friendly Garden Tour in the news!

Check out this wonderful article by Kym Pokorny, garden writer for the Oregonian, featuring four of the gardens on the Sabin Bee-Friendly Garden Tour.

Here's another article, also by Kym, with more details about the project.

Oregonian photographer Beth Nakamura created this great video about bee-friendly gardening that features Sabin bee-keeper Tim Wessels.

Kym also wrote a piece that mentions a variety of bee-related activities going on this summer, as well as places to get more information about colony collapse disorder and gardening for pollinators.

New! Sabin Business Directory

7/15/2012

Now it's a little easier to support the local economy, because we've created a Sabin Business Directory to help you.  The directory lists businesses physically located within Sabin boundaries, plus businesses located elsewhere, as long as the owner lives in Sabin.

We're grateful to Michelle Ganow Jones for creating and maintaining the directory - thanks, Michelle!

Sabin business owners: if your business isn't already included in the directory, please complete this form and we'll include you.
