We've received notice that an application has been made to reduce the side and rear setbacks at 4224 NE 19th. It appears that this application is to legalize some existing structures that intrude into the required setbacks and were not properly permitted when they were built several years ago. We will be discussing this proposed adjustment at the LUTC meeting on Wednesday, February 7, 2016, in the upstairs conference room at Whole Foods at 7:00 pm. If you have feedback on this proposal, please contact the Sabin LUTC Chair, Rachel Lee at rach.c.lee@gmail.com, or submit a comment on the proposal directly to the City. The deadline for comments to the City on this proposal is 5:00 pm on February 17, 2016. We've received a notice that the owners at 4709 NE 19th are proposing to convert their basement into an Accessory Dwelling Unit. This project will involve pouring a new foundation for the house, which requires an adjustment to the setback. City Code requires a 5 foot setback, but the new foundation will have only a 4 foot 6 inch setback. We will be discussing this proposed adjustment at the LUTC meeting on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, in the upstairs conference room at Whole Foods at 7:00 pm. If you have feedback on this proposal, please contact the Sabin LUTC Chair, Rachel Lee at rach.c.lee@gmail.com, or submit a comment on the proposal directly to the City. The deadline for comments to the City on this proposal is 5:00 pm on January 12, 2015.
